We provide our clients the choice of two Exterior Washes.
Our Basic Exterior Wash starts with a two-bucket hand wash including all door jambs and windows, wheels cleaned and degreased, tires dressed, and finished with a 4-6 month ceramic sealant.
Our Signature Exterior Wash includes everything in basic plus a full iron decontamination wash, clay bar to remove additional contaminants & pollutants on the paint’s surface, and all plastic trim pieces are restored and protected.
With the majority of our time spent inside of a vehicle, why not make sure your interior looks and stays better than the day you bought it? Interiors are notorious for dirt and debris in small cracks and crevasses, and it is our goal to ensure that every inch is cleaned. At The Detailing Specialist, we provide our clients the choice of two interior washes.
Our Basic Interior Wash includes a vacuum, interior panels wiped down, and all interior glass cleaned.
Our Signature Interior Wash is our more thorough and most popular choice among clients. It features everything in basic plus a deep cleaning of all carpets with a hot water extractor to remove all dirt, debris, and odors. Cloth seats receive a shampoo from the hot water extractor. Any stains that exist in the headliner are removed. This service is our most thorough detail, and recommended for somebody that wants their car in the best possible condition, or a vehicle that is on the "Dirtier" side.
*All Signature Interiors receive a complementary Basic Exterior Wash*
What is Paint Correction?
Paint correction is the process of leveling & removing swirl marks, scratches, and surface imperfections on the top layer of your paint's finish. These imperfections dull, oxidize or haze the surface by reflecting light off in various directions, therefore detracting from a true and proper, clean, sharp, reflection.
Examples of Surface Imperfections:
The actual corrective process comprises of a small amount of clear coat being removed from the surface with a polishing machine and the use of abrasive polishes. Polishes range from heavier cutting compounds to finer products, which are applied and worked in with appropriate polishing machines, and polishing pads to level out the surface and refine the finish.
Some scratches or imperfections may be too deep or severe to safely remove without running the risk of removing too much surface paint or clear coat. Therefore, using techniques with the machine polisher and polish products will round off edges of the scratches minimizing and making them far less apparent.
What is a Ceramic Coating?
A Ceramic Coating is a long-term liquid polymer that is applied by hand to a vehicle’s paint, glass, wheels, and plastic trim. The coating chemically bonds to the surface creating a semi-permanent layer of protection. Our top-of-the-line Ceramic Coating enhances the reflective properties of your car’s paint and clear coat, adding depth and clarity to the paint.
The most significant feature of a Ceramic Coating is that it is hydrophobic, which means it repels water. Dirt and debris will stick to the water rather than the surface of the vehicle, which allows for the vehicle to remain cleaner longer and allows the vehicle to be maintained with less effort. While most vehicles should be polished every 1-2 years, a Ceramic Coated Vehicle will not need to be polished or waxed for the lifetime of the applied coating.
Ceramic Coatings create a semi-permanent bond with the vehicle’s paint. Unlike traditional waxes and sealants that last weeks to months, our coatings provide protection for 2-9 years. In addition to forming a bond with the vehicle’s paint, our coatings are much thicker than a wax or sealant, creating a sacrificial layer that can absorb damage and better protect the paint underneath.
